J Creek Alpacas is located 6 miles SE of Dauphin in West Central Manitoba Canada. We have been raising Huacaya alpacas since 1998 & have double-reg (CLAA & ARI) and single_reg (CLAA) alpacas. Our quality bloodlines trace back to Pachachuti, Peruvian Pistachio, Victors Vaccoyo, Coyo Destiny, Jolimont Peruvian Bwana.

Alpacas are easily maintained, quiet, gentle & intelligent creatures who as well as being outstanding fiber producers, make an excellent 4-H project animal, pet/companion animals & a great livestock for small acreages. Alpacas are efficient eaters, requiring only small quantities of low-protein feed, good quality pasture in summer & native hay in winter months. Babies or "cria" are born after a 335-340 day gestation usually in early daylight hours.

Alpaca fleece (shorn annually) is fine, soft & exceptionally warm. Alpaca fiber is one of the world's finest, most luxurious fibers once reserved for the Incan Royalty of South America. There are 22 colors of white, creams, fawns, variations of browns, greys & blacks. It is strong & resilient, hypo-allergenic, naturally water repellant & has natural luster.
